If you've seen my pict. last day (merapi eruption.. before..)

This pict. is condition of merapi after  eruption , it's very sacred when saw this,  seems like so beautifull is'nt to saw this?but it's very dangerous.... esp. for Hot cloud threat..
Last accident  (19 Jun 2006) Two men who sought shelter in an emergency bunker were found dead  from burns caused by the intense heat of the volcano's eruptions. The two died in Kaliadem village when Merapi released a burning cloud of gas and ash - known by locals as "shaggy goats" -and a flow of lava.

Merapi is a very active volcano with a resting period of between two and seven years. Merapi rarely exhibits such explosions. What has been widely understood by the public as an explosion of Merapi is actually the collapse of a newly formed lava dome that always precedes an eruption of Merapi.   When the lava dome collapses, it will result in a huge eruption cloud, the temperatures of which can be as high as 400 degrees Celsius with a speed of between 150 and 200 kilometers per hour when it reaches the settlements on the slopes of Merapi.   This eruption cloud comprising stones, sand, ash, and hot gas that are transported down the slopes of a volcano because of the influence of gravity, can reach up to 12 kilometers from the peak of Merapi. This is the biggest threat of Merapi.

An amazing image Dudee and such an interesting blog - I've learned so much. I knew none of this. And all I have to be concerned about is too much rain here this summer!
